Our Best of Morocco Itinerary takes you on a route to see most of the magical spots Morocco has to offer.

This route can be adjusted from eight to fifteen days or more, depending on your schedule; or we can do it the opposite direction, which is a good idea if you are starting and ending your trip in Marrakech.

All the details are available on our Best of Morocco (in reverse) itinerary.

This particular trip covers the highlights of the entire country including the Imperial Cities (Meknes, Fez, and Marrakech), along with the Sahara Desert.

The itinerary outlined here, is a 10-days trip that can be booked immediately for any dates you may wish.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive FEZ

Welcome, Mrehba!

Upon arriving into the Fez Airport, you’ll head to Marrakech city ,then taken to your hotel for the evening.

If you arrive into Marrakech early that day, it can be a good idea to visit the famous square JAME EL FNA.

Day 2Marrakech Guided Visit

After breakfast, you can start exploring Marrakech «the red city of Morocco”.

We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palacel.

After Lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts.

On the afternoon, you will have some free time to wonder by yourself the other parts of the city.

Day 3Marrakech | Ouarzazate | Ait Ben Haddou | Skoura

Today, you will depart from Marrakech at 9 am.

After passing over the Tizi n Tichka Pass of the High Atlas Mountains.

Along the way you will stop for lunch and have the opportunity to visit the UNESCO world heritage site atAit Ben Haddou.

You might also enjoy exploring Ouarzazate.

This relatively new city used to be home to the Kasbah, once owned by the Glaouis family who ruled Morocco.

You will have the option to spend the night in the Dades Valley or in Ouarzazate.

Day 4Skoura- Merzouga (Sahara Desert) (5hrs)

Today, you will be taken to Merzouga.

En route, you can stop at either the Dades Valley or the Todra Gorge.

Following, you’ll choose your camel and head about one hour into the desert to our private tent area.

The night is spent dining alfresco under the stars followed by a night in a Bedouin-style tent.

If you prefer not to camp out, simply ride the camel for one hour to view the sunset and spend the night at the kasbah hotel.

We have both standard and deluxe camps available.

Day 5Merzouga- Rissani – Ziz Valley – Erfoud (3hrs)

After rising early, you will be able to ride the camels back to the hotel where you can take a shower, have breakfast, and then venture into the lush Ziz Valley and Rissani .

The night will be spent in Erfoud.

Day 6Erfoud-Midelt – Ifrane – Fez (7hrs)

Today, you’ll head north through the Middle Atlas Mountains throughout Midelt, Ifrane (the “Switzerland of Morocco”), and finally to your guesthouse for the evening.

Day 7Fez (Private Guided Tour)

Today you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets.

Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter, and the first Mellah (old fashioned market) built during the 16th century.

We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Mulay Idriss mausoleum.

After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramique view over the whole Medina of Fes.

Day 8Fez – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, Depart to the second imperial city of Meknes to take pictures of the massive Bab El Mansour gate.

The city tour of Meknes includes the Harri Souani stables, the old medina and the beautiful royal palace.

Then continue on to the sacred city of Mouly Idriss.

You will have some time to rest at this beautiful small city before visiting the Roman ruins of Volubilis.

Volubilis is a truly impressive setting selected by UNESCO as a cultural heritage site for humanity.

After your visit depart for the blue city Chefchaouen for overnight.

Day 9Chefchaouen (Private Guided Tour)

After breakfast, , you will visit the blue town of Chefchaouen which nestles in the hollow of the two mountains – Ech-Chaoua (The Horns) – from which it takes its name.

Steep narrow streets with white and indigo limewashed buildings, small squares, ornate fountains and houses with elaborately decorated doorways and red tile roofs make this a delightful town.

Enjoy your lunch in one of the traditional Restaurant with its atmospheric view over the Ech-Chaoua Mountains.

Day 10Depart Tanger

You’ll be departing Morocco today, you will leave to Tangier Port Med through the farmland, and small villages.
